This program focuses on the theory and practice of Early Childhood Education and care for children from birth to age eight for occupational preparation. The course of study will include the basic principles of educational and developmental psychology; the art of observing, teaching and guiding young children; planning and administration of developmentally appropriate inclusive educational activities; school safety and health issues; and the social and emotional foundations of early care and education.
This degree assists students with seamless transfer to a California State University.
