Governance Restructure

The College Council has replaced the Strategic Planning Council as part of a shared governance restructure in academic year 2023-24. Subcommittee responsibilities will be redistributed as part of a governance restructure.

College Council About the Restructure

The Strategic Planning Council is one of three major governing bodies at Moreno Valley College and focuses on maintaining accreditation standards, comprehensive operational planning and ensuring continuous improvement of academic and service quality. The SPC has four subcommittees, is advised by several workgroups, and works closely with the Academic Senate and Student Equity and Achievement Committee.

Purpose

The purpose of the Strategic Planning Council is to provide integrated planning based on sustainable, 16 continuous quality improvement as they pertain to the four ACCJC accreditation standards and shared governance. The Moreno Valley Campus adopted a comprehensive strategic planning process to ensure that the full participation of faculty, staff, students, and administrators occur in accordance with shared governance goals.
