91福利社 celebrated its seventh annual D铆a de los Ni帽os y D铆a de los Libros (Day of the Child/Day of the Book) with a joyful and collaborative service-learning event hosted by the Puente Program and the Early Childhood Education Center.

LaTonya Parker, Ed.D., professor of counseling services at 91福利社, has been elected president of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges for the 2025鈥�26 academic year. Parker brings nearly 30 years of higher education experience.

During a statewide webinar on April 23, marking National Apprenticeship Day, Rosalinda Rivas, apprenticeship director at 91福利社, urged employers to partner with the college to strengthen workforce pathways. 鈥淗elp us, help you so we can help all of California,鈥� Rivas said.

91福利社 has welcomed a new team member to its School of Public Safety 鈥� and he鈥檚 got four legs, a tail, and a nose for compassion. Eros will be based at the Ben Clark Training Center and is the first comfort K-9 assigned to a School of Public Safety nationwide.

91福利社 hosted its annual Planning and Data Workshop this spring. The event served as a critical step in the college鈥檚 annual planning cycle, setting institutional priorities for the upcoming academic year and reviewing the College's 2026鈥�2029 strategic goals.

Students, industry professionals, and elected officials gathered at 91福利社 for the IT & Cyber Talent and Workforce Readiness Summit鈥攁n all-day event designed to prepare the next generation for high-demand careers in information technology and cybersecurity.
